The newspaper Le Moniteur, the official French newspaper for the construction sector, has created a new dedicated award for the category Infrastructure Project under BIM. Egis has received this first award, for the PPP project of an urban motorway in Marseille called L2 .

This project of 10.9 km, mixes existing and new design with 60% being inside a tunnel and includes a large number of operational equipment. The BIM models  and processes have been developed and shared by the Designer, Egis and the Contractor, Bouygues. One of the key BIM uses has been the safety audit under a BIM  review. The BIM management has been conducted by Christophe Castaing for Egis and Pierre Benning for Bouygues. Both are members of the buildingSMART International Infrastructure Committee which is developing a portfolio of new IFC Infrastructure standards.
